However with us constantly monitoring our carbon footprint and companies trying to drive down their emissions we are continually trying to find ways of using different materials in different ways. The government is trying to reduce landfill on a major scale. One part of this is by recycling aggregates there is growing pressure on producers and consumers to move towards a more sustainable resourcing of aggregates by reducing the consumption of primary aggregates through switching to recycled or secondary aggregates. Here at The Stone & Garden Company we have seen a massive growth within the recycling materials we produce due to local authorities, government projects and the construction industry focusing heavily on using recycled aggregates where ever possible. Recycled aggregates such as recycled road planings for use as 20mm pipe bedding, 14mm pipe bedding or 10mm pipe bedding as well as crushed concrete and rubble to create a 6f material are all now common place within major projects within the UK.

Congratulations to the Winning Rider Andy Robinson from Doncaster !! Andy is a club member of 'Out of The Saddle' Riding Club. The Tickhill Velo Grand Prix was a great success all round and ended with a quite spectacular finish to the Hour long road race. There was a superb turnout of thousands of spectators from not only the historical village of Tickhill but also the surrounding towns and villages. Many keen bikers and bike clubs also made the trip out to see there fellow teammates and friends and family compete in the race. The Stone and Garden were proud sponsors of the local race and were there to cheer all the great riders taking part. The event allowed us to promote our new business with 4 banners measuring 3 metres x 1 metres, our main product promotions were driveway and landscaping gravels and slates, included within these were Golden Gravel, Cotswold Chippings and 40mm Plum Slate. Well done to all those involved in the event and look forward to hopefully the same in 2014
